For this open call, we invite artists to explore the theme of Landscapes & Seascapes.
From vast natural horizons and dramatic coastlines to intimate views of familiar places, landscapes have long served as a source of inspiration, reflection, memory, and imagination. They can document a particular place while also expressing something deeply personal—an emotion, atmosphere, memory, or state of mind.
For this edition, we invite artists to explore the landscape and seascape in all its forms. We are interested not only in traditional representations of nature, but also in abstract, conceptual, imagined, urban, atmospheric, and emotionally interpreted environments.
How do we experience a landscape? What memories does a place hold? How does the sea evoke freedom, solitude, movement, or mystery? How can an artist transform a physical environment into an emotional or imagined space?
Artists may explore subjects including natural landscapes, seascapes, mountains, forests, rivers, coastlines, oceans, lakes, deserts, gardens, rural environments, urban landscapes, imagined places, changing environments, and abstract interpretations of nature and place.
We are also interested in works that consider themes of memory and place, climate and nature, human connection to the environment, solitude and belonging, movement and stillness, horizons, journeys, transformation, and the passage of time.
Open to artists worldwide, aged 18 and above, working in various media, including painting, drawing, collage, installation, illustration, photography, sculpture, ceramics, textiles, assemblage, fiber art, paper art, printmaking, 3D digital art, glass art, metalwork, and more.
Selected artists will have the privilege of being showcased in a month-long online exhibition and will receive a 2-6 page spread in both print and digital magazines. This feature will encompass a biography, artist statement, interview, website link, and 2-10 featured artworks. Moreover, all published artists will receive a complimentary digital issue of the magazine, which will be actively promoted on our website and social media platforms. Additionally, artists will be provided with a link to order the printed version of the magazine.
Moreover, the curatorial team will select a few exceptional artists for inclusion in their upcoming book edition titled '101 Contemporary Artists and More...'
Requirements: Up to 12 photos, details of the work (title, medium, size, year), brief biography, artist statement (min 100 words each), website, and social media links.
Deadline: September 27, 2026
Application Fee: No Fee
The participation fee is 55 EUR (in case of acceptance)
