The Big Book is a global publishing project created by the Arts to Hearts Project to celebrate the work of artists around the world through thoughtfully curated, professionally produced books. It exists for one reason: to make sure that artists at every stage of life, and across every kind of creative practice, have a respected place where their work is published, recognized, and preserved. Rather than a single book, it is one continuous initiative that grows over time through new editions, each dedicated to a different community of creators, so that no artist is left without a place to belong.
The project began in 2024 with The Big Book of Tiny Creatives, a celebration of young artists aged 2 to 18. Across its first two editions, it established the approach that continues to define everything we do. Artists are not ranked or judged against one another, the emphasis falls on participation and documentation rather than competition, and every featured artist is given a place in a permanent, published archive that they and their families can return to over time.
From there, the project keeps widening to welcome more artists. The Big Book of Painters 2026 opens the platform to adult painters working across styles, subjects, and approaches, from realism and portraiture to abstraction, landscape, still life, and experimental work. In the editions to come, the same platform will extend to sculptors, mixed media artists, and creators across many other disciplines. Each new edition is part of the same project and the same purpose, created so that more artists, of more ages and more practices, can find their place within The Big Book.
All books in the series are designed and printed in a high quality hardcover format, with global distribution through Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and the Arts to Hearts Project Shop. Each edition stands as a lasting record of contemporary art and a platform for international visibility. The Big Book of Painters 2026 brings together a curated group of selected artists from different countries, cultures, and backgrounds into a single cohesive volume, offering both emerging and established artists the opportunity to be published, recognized, and included in a growing global creative community.
With submissions now open, we invite painters from around the world to submit their work and become part of this expanding creative archive.
