The Ey!Studio AiR residency program takes place at Ey!Studio, an independent creation space located in Carabanchel (Madrid), one of the city’s most active areas for contemporary artistic production. Since 2017, Ey!Studio has hosted more than 65 artists, consolidating itself as a space for work and artistic development.
The residency offers a private studio that combines accommodation and workspace in the same space, designed for independent artistic practice and individual research. Each resident manages their time, creative process, and use of the studio autonomously.
Projects developed during the residency may receive visibility through publications on Ey!Studio’s website and social media, as well as possible future participation in screenings, exhibitions, or collaborations with independent spaces at national and international levels. There is also the possibility of selling work produced during the residency through an associated online gallery.
The program is open to artists, curators, and researchers of any nationality and discipline, with a particular affinity for the visual arts.
Residencies last from 2 weeks to 3 months, with 1 to 8 residents per period, across different programs.
A final public presentation is not required. The residency includes participation in a group exhibition, featuring one work per artist selected by the curatorial team. This is available only to artists in residence for a minimum of 4 weeks. The exhibition will take place between November 2026 and February 2027..

PARTICIPATION FEES:
The estimated real cost of the program is 1.200€ / week + VAT.
For this call, Ey!Studio provides a partial grant, already applied to the published participation fees, covering a significant portion of this cost.
ARTIST RESIDENT CONTRIBUTION FEE

✶Stays of 4 to 12 weeks
Studio 1 (semi-private bathroom): €350 / week + VAT
Studio 2 (private bathroom): €400 / week + VAT
✶Stays of 2 to 3 weeks
Studio 1 (semi-private bathroom): €450 / week + VAT
Studio 2 (private bathroom): €480 / week + VAT
Participation fees are structured according to the length of stay and are non-negotiable.
📩 After the application has been accepted, Ey!Studio may issue pre-selection or letters of interest to support applications for external grants or funding.
The issuance of the letter involves a contribution to the program of €35 + VAT, which will be deducted from the final participation fee only if the artist ultimately participates in the residency.
The issuance of the letter does not imply date reservation nor confirmation of participation.
