New Paltz Photo Works is a free photography publication featuring photographers from across the country. Use it as a lens into the eyes of people near and far — a glimpse into different lives and communities through photography.

Whether you’re an artist, observer, or critic, experiencing artwork on paper—or in person—is fundamentally different from viewing it on a screen. While digital art is convenient to access and share, it often lacks the tangible presence and intimacy of print. Vision

New Paltz Photo Works gives artists a place to see their work in print, in a time where lots of work is online.

I created New Paltz Photo Works to see my work in print. I feel that there is a major value of seeing my work in a physical space, and the process I go through to get my work in this physical space, is what I am chasing. I want to share this same opportunity with other artists, but also create a space for interacting with each other.

NPPW is a traditionally printed black and white paper. The paper is printed in black and white due to the sheer beauty of black and white, and the inaccessible cost of color printing.

February- Black and White work only,
May- Color + Black and White work
August- Black and White work only
November- Color + Black and White work

Deadlines for each issue are on the 15th of the month leading up to that issue.
