Individual Residency Programme, Italy - TAKING TIME / PRENDENDO TEMPO
An Individual Residency provides uninterrupted periods of time in the beautiful environment of Collemacchia in Italy’s Molise region, home to Tracy’s Italian family for centuries. The community is situated in the outstanding National Park of Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise, a protected area of exceptional significance and beauty.
There is no expectation of a final outcome of the residency. Whether you wish simply to be up close to your practice, allow nature to suffuse your thinking and feeling, produce new work or complete a project, at The Museum of Loss and Renewal the utmost will be done to ensure that you can achieve what you set out to do.
Residents receive support and informal mentoring from Tracy and Associates during the residency period, and ongoing support after the residency.
APPLY NOW for 2026 / Residency periods are available between 01 May and 31 October each year.
The minimum residency period is 2 weeks, however for the full benefit of all that the residency programme provides, a minimum period of 3 weeks is recommended.

Applications are open to creative practitioners such as visual artists, film makers, writers, poets, performance artists, curators, designers, craft makers, musicians, theatre makers and researchers who work either individually or collaboratively.
Accommodation
Residents are accommodated in two comfortable houses situated a couple of minutes walk from each other. Houses have fully equipped kitchens, bathrooms, sitting rooms, and double, twin and single bedrooms. Central heating and internet throughout.
Workspace
Studio spaces are located in buildings that are situated a couple of minutes walk from each other, and in/from accommodation. They are recently renovated and are equipped with multiple tables, chairs, lamps, running water and internet throughout.
Fees
The residency fee is €500 per week, per person. The fee is heavily subsidised and additionally, residents receive support and informal mentoring during the residency period, and ongoing support after the residency.
There is no external funding for this project, so unfortunately we cannot provide assistance with fees and production costs, among other things.
Successful applicants often source funding by applying to their national arts funding bodies, securing academic institutional support or by personal fundraising.
The Museum of Loss and Renewal can provide formal letters of invitation to assist in this process.
Residents are responsible for funding and organising their travel, insurances and any visa requirements particular to country of origin.
