LiTE-HAUS seeks artists based in Berlin to exhibit artworks in a group show in June which will run through the popular annual 48 Hour Neukölln art festival, but will not be listed as an official entry in the festival. We receive hundreds of visitors during the festival weekend, but this show will begin a few days before the festival, and end on the last day of the festival.
There is no theme for this open call, but if you want to exhibit something that pertains to the festival theme, that would be better, but not mandatory. This year’s theme is “What the Fact” and you can see more about that and the festival in general on the organizer’s website: https://48-stunden-neukoelln.de/en/thema.
Unfortunately the artist scheduled for a solo show had to cancel due to unfortunate circumstances, and that’s why the deadline is very soon!

VERNISSAGE: Friday June 20th 6PM-9PM (FREITAG 20.06 18:00-21:00)
You are not required to attend the Vernissage or the exhibition.
REGULAR GALERIE HOURS: Tuesday - Friday 1pm-6pm (DIEN-FREI 13:00-18:00) Saturday 11am-3pm (SAM 11:00-15:00) but these hours will be extended during the festival weekend.
NOTIFICATION: ACCEPTED ARTISTS will be notified by JUNE 2, 2025 (02.06). We will ONLY notify accepted artists.
REGISTRATION DEADLINE: JUNE 6, 2025 (06.06) Chosen artists must register their selected artworks with additional required details, and schedule their delivery and pickup.
IN PERSON DELIVERY (2 OPTIONS): SATURDAY JUNE 14 (14.06) or TUESDAY JUNE 17 (17.06)
IN PERSON PICK UP (2 OPTIONS): MONDAY JUNE 30 (30.06) or WEDNESDAY JULY 2 (02.07)
SIZE: There is no size limit for this application. But artworks or photos must be easy to hang or display.
LiTE-HAUS is a non-profit organization (Ad Finem gGmbH). However, this is not a grant-funded exhibition. Artists co-fund the show with LiTE-HAUS by donations based on the number of artworks and size. Donations are not required to apply.
DONATION: Artworks up to 70 cm on any side, donate €50 for the first artwork selected, €20 for the second, €10 each additional work accepted. Artworks larger than 70 cm up to maximum 100cm on any side you donate €80 per artwork, regardless of the number of artworks selected. Measurements must include the frame. Donations for larger artworks will be determined if selected.
Gallery commission is 30%. The artist's share is 70% of the sale. THINK about that when you price your work later.
Artists cannot choose where the artwork will hang in the gallery rooms. We will install your work and gallery sit.
Prepare a maximum of 10 files as PNG or JPEG. If you do not prepare your files correctly, your submission will not be reviewed. We do not need to know the name of your work or the price for this application. We will get that information later if you are accepted. Name your files: LASTNAME_FIRSTNAME_WIDTHxHEIGHT_NUMBER. (Example: MERKEL_ANGELA_50x40_1). Number the files 1 to 10. Measurements must include the frame. Image files must be 800 Pixels height and no larger than 1MB.
