Just a trip away: The expressionist Regattahaus and the music pavilion on the shores of Lake Templin will become a weekend excursion destination. Artistic positions open up the vacant site, question its eventful history and approach the theme of "trip".
Sunday outings and local recreation, globetrotting and pleasure walking: Trips and excursions promise adventures, are escapes from the constraints of gainful labour and small romantic escapes from the global crisis mode, but also harbour questions about privilege, commercialisation and power. The Regattahaus symbolises this ambivalence - it is a place of leisure and recreation, but also a stage for military and ideological appropriation and the pursuit of performance in sport.
Artists and cultural practitioners are invited to submit their positions for a temporary, experimental and site-specific exhibition on the theme of trip by March 20, 2024. Dance, light, video, walk, performance, workshop or expansive installation - all formats and genres are encouraged that open up diverse perspectives on the location and theme.
We look forward to receiving your application!
