Astral Cherry Healing Arts is announcing the second issue of the Queer/Trans Magic Zine! The zine is intended to be a collection of stories, poetry, photography, spellwork, visual artwork, educational guides, short essays, and anything else that you can put your imagination to that explores, honors, and transforms lineages of queer magic & resilience.
This edition's theme is Luxuria (Desire/Lust/Luxury/Excess). Traditionally, Luxuria is considered one of the 7 Deadly Sins in the Christian mythos, but this zine is not limited to Christian-themed works or an understanding of these themes as sinful. Instead, this issue asks: How do we nourish ourselves with reckless abandon? How do we reclaim and reintegrate our desire from suppression? How do we lavish in pleasure and play? How can we uproot and transform shameful and oppressive relationships to desire, lust, luxury, and excess into something completely new?
Erotic or "NSFW" creative works are more than welcome to be submitted to this issue.
To enable contributors from all backgrounds to participate in this open call, Astral Cherry Healing Arts is not charging a submission fee. Anyone interested may submit to this zine, though submission does not guarantee inclusion.
This call is open to queer or trans (LGBTQIA+) people from anywhere in the world. Astral Cherry Healing Arts is based out of the Northeast United States.
