🌳 Arbola, the festival that celebrates the culture of trees, launches CALL FOR THE SELECTION OF 3 TO 6 PROJECTS by Europe based artists & CPs interested in exploring the poetic and symbolic power of trees.
🌼 Residencies at Antartika (Pamplona, Navarra) from 19 March to 30 May 2024. Workspace, mediation, travel, accommodation and support of 2,500.00 euros per person.

LABEA is a laboratory of art, science and nature; in Basque it means "oven”.
It generates and gives support to cultural projects, including their creation, distribution, training and awareness initiatives. It “heats up” with Art as a generator of subjectivity, cultivating with it effective tools for eco-social activation and transformation.
LABEA grows and spreads through the following projects:
ARBOLA, a festival that celebrates the culture of Trees.
CAMINOS DE ARTE Y NATURALEZA (Paths of Art and Nature) blends participatory diagnostic actions, walks and artistic interventions, awakening the collective memory of our territory;
MICROACCIONES ENTRE MUJERES Y PLANTAS (Micro-actions amongst women and plants), research and mediation activities that explore possible symbiotic relationships and interspatial artistic rituals;
MATERIA BOSQUE (Forest Matter), gathers audiovisual creations that celebrate the aesthetic and political power of Trees, a programme carried out in collaboration with Fundación Bunka/ RCR Arquitectes since 2019.
LABEA INTERNATIONAL RESIDENCY PROGRAMME flourishes in partnership with Antartika Kultur Container inviting artists and cultural workers interested in exploring the field of confluence between art, science and nature to annual residency programmes.
LABEA PRODUCCIONES produces, accompanies and spreads eco-conscious creations such as Mistura#4 by Marina Guzzo (Brazil) and Tentativas de convertirse en árbol by Luciana Croatto/Artistas Inflamables (La Rioja-Argentina).
LABEA EDUCACIÓN flows through Art and Nature Workshops, a panoramic approach to art works, projects, spaces and influential artists in these fields. A glimpse into art history with and through Nature, guided by arboreal knowledge. A programme to awaken our perceptions through walks, paths, and learnings about the Trees that inhabit our environments.
LABEA ASESORÍA is where consultancy and project designing takes place, where curatorial and production services are offered to institutions, associations and communities. It focuses on environmental awareness actions through art.
