You are hereby invited to apply for participation in the 13. International WoodSculpture Symposium in Sønderborg, June 15 - 21, 2025.
Deadline for your application is January 12, 2025.
The symposium takes place in the surrounding of the beautiful Castle of Sønderborg During the symposium, you can expect an audience of about 1000 visitors each day. Therefore, it is very important for the symposium that the artists interacts with the audience.
The oak tree block, which you will be working on has the dimension: minimum 60x160 cm. The organizers will provide electric chainsaws, which the artist needs to use.
In 2025, 8 artists will be invited after having screened all applications. This invitation will be sent out worldwide.
The theme for 2025 is: NATURE AND OUR RELATION TO NATURE. In your application for the symposium, it is important that you describe what your work is about (ideas, thoughts, and sketch).

- your artist CV
- high resolution photo of you (the artist)
- a proposal including sketch or photo of your model for the symposium
- text/description and thoughts behind your artwork
- example and photos of your previous works
