The WAH Center (Williamsburg Art & Historical Center) is now accepting submissions for 1st Annual WAH Center Spring Dance Festival, a two-night program of dance and performance, curated by Yana Schnitzler (artistic director of Human Kinetics Movements Arts). Spring is a time of planting for the future when nature erupts with joyous living presence. To celebrate the seasonal and creative return-to-earth, we are looking for dance and performance works which embrace the theme of Spring in its broadest sense.
The WAH Center is housed in New York City Landmark Kings County Savings Bank (built in 1867) and on the National Register of Historic Places. This French Second Empire architectural treasure offers artists a visually stunning performance space in Williamsburg—the heart of Brooklyn’s art community.
1st Annual WAH Center Spring Dance Festival will be presented as part of Spring Fling , an international juried exhibition and Spring Festival, featuring music, Taste of Williamsburg smorgasbord from delicious local eateries, as well as an artist market, flower show, and other special programs, April 21-May 27, 2012. We look forward to including your talent in what will be an exceptional event!
