Under the provocative, deconstructive title YBA where the famous initial letters are being altered to Y for young, B for Balkans and A for artists, we aim to present a group of artists who:

Are young, but not necessarily literally. Balkans, without, however, giving any special importance to the definition of what Balkan exactly means, considering the fact that contemporary identities are multicultural and their construction is in constant progress. Intense and authentic in their expression, but making no effort to convince anyone about it.  Spontaneous partakers of contemporary art, with no need to underline this fact whatsoever. Using rich and various means of expression, to the extent allowed by the difficult financial situation. Caustic in their art, as it reflects a boiling reality. With a scarce international profile, as very few of the people  in the established art system take time to promote their creations, given the fact that the interest of the art market has nowadays left Balkans to shift even further to the east. With their  creative mood unrestrained, fearless, provocatively free, as even without recognition, without any financial and moral rewards, in some cases without any kind of institutional support, they insist on continuing  create at all costs.
