Cairo || Art Residency

Out Of The Circle Initiative and Submarine Studio art residence is offered for artist,curator and researcher who would like to discover the Egyptian moderate contemporary life, arts, culture and traditions in Cairo. The residence gave the chance to artist to think and work how he wants to produce his residence project end of the residency. Also he will have great chance to discover other areas and arts/culture places in Cairo. The place is a central point of old Downtown Cairo Central City.

 

The residence period will help the artist to discover the Egyptian daily life culture and will open new horizons for her to know more about Egypt culture and arts through her talk and work with Egyptian curator and artist.

Noting:

·         The residence program offers the artist a welcome free welcome dinner in Egyptian food restaurant, We offer culture/history tours about Cairo with professional tour guide French/English (optional with extra cost)

The artist should have a project or research that he want to do in Egypt during the time of residency and we will help him to make this project possible, The artist will make a presentation about his works in the beginning of the residency for public audience in our Studio.

·         The residence will cost (100 Euro) per week included electric, internet and gas bills.

This open call is open for all nationalities and we encourage the artists from Africa and MENA region.
