Open Call

For artists to show their work on the next issue of  Revista Hysteria (Hysteria Magazine) (http://www.hysteria.mx/">www.hysteria.mx)

Hysteria is a Mexico City based web magazine, published in spanish and it is focused on showing artworks that address the politics of body representatuion, sexuality and the pursue of pleasure understood as political spaces.  

We advocate respect for the diversity of sexual identities and existing body types.

Our NEXT ISSUE´s theme is:

*The Perfect Man (# 1). - Gender binary, transgender, transsexual, gender violence, alternative masculinities, male stereotypes in popular culture, and everything related to the myth of the perfect man and romantic love.

Deadline for receipt for # 1: Monday, June 3, 2013

**** *This call is for VISUAL ARTS to participate on the following sections.

Art / Comic / Drawing / Video / Performance/Action…

*Photography (Art photography) - Series of 6-15 images, 72 dpi, 1600 px longest side.

*XXX Gallery - Pictures of naked male bodies exploring diversity beyond the stereotypes of beauty and conventional media representations. – Series of 6 – 15 images, 72 dpi, 1600 px longest side.

*Graphics (drawing, printmaking, digital graphics, comic). - Images at 72 dpi, 1600 px longest side.

*Art: Artistic projects that adhere to the theme of this issue ( The perfect man…)

*Video  (Interview, video, mini-documentaries, mini-report, short film.) - Not to exceed 10 minutes, Quick Time or AVI or MPG4 with original music or Copyright Free.

With all the submissions please include the information of the work (title, media, dimensions), information of the author (name, nationality, link to your website or portafolio URL, a 500 word or less artist statement, 500 word or less artist bio.)
