WHAT IS THE FLYING BARRIO?

The Flying Barrio is an expeditionary artist-in-residence created by artists calling upon other artists to travel, live together, to share experiences and trade inspiration in an almost nomadic way.

It gives the opportunity for artists from different parts of the world to discover Philippine treasures in art, crafts, architecture, culture and tribal arts and to be able to interact and create collaborations with local artists, and artisans. This will bring about a good opportunity for artists both local and foreign to exchange ideas, inspiration and thoughts on life.
