We are calling all artists and artist teams to submit designs for an art cart to be entered in Baltimore's Art Cart Derby. This cart is sponsored by PAC and the winner will be awarded a small stipend to help build their cart. The selected artist/artist team will need to be present to race their cart at the event in Sept. 2013. This is a completely open call, but we encourage designs that embrace the spirit of either Pinebox Art Center or the Greater Baltimore Community. 

The All Ages Art Cart Derby is an intergenerational gravity sculpture race and bilingual community arts street festival in the Highlandtown Arts District (ha!).  Organized and planned by an intergenerational team, the Art Cart Derby is unique because it is created, designed and executed collaboratively by community residents and local organizations including Creative Alliance, Southeast CDC, The Loading Dock, Martin Pollak Project, and Banner Neighborhoods! This process and neighborhood network in Highlandtown, Patterson Park & Baltimore Highlands come together as Communities for All Ages or “CFAA.”
