WARDLOW Art Residence embodies an orientation to the studio and production side of art as opposed to the commercial apparatus of art, not withstanding the later. Established as an artist's gallery, WARDLOW is a place where art goes on and is not just shown and sold.

Adding value to the gallery convention, WARDLOW is a place where artists and curators can temporarily live and be a part of an energetic art residence that is conducive to the development of ideas, progressive works, and the occasional hearty household dinner. Australian and international artists (and curators) are sponsored to live in Wardlow's Fitzroy warehouse and utilise their own studio and gallery over a three month (or six month) expose.
