HAVETS VEJE - unge bølger / young waves
How does the sea sound? How does it look like? How does it move? What do you feel when you are at the sea and how will it look like in the future?
Those questions and many more will give an impulse to the creative confrontation with the theme “roads of the sea” during the creative self-managed seminar „young waves“. 10 creative young people from Greenland, Iceland, Latvia, Norway and Denmark will meet in Aarhus and delve into an artistic exchange on the ways of the sea and its mysterious nature. The young people each have their own creative background and expression (music, visual arts, writing, performance) and find together for the first time. At the seminar, the young people gather their thoughts, inspire and discuss with each other.
In a creative process, a performance of sound, light and movement will occur.
10 young people, 5 countries, 1 sea - on wavelength.
WHEN? The seminar takes place in Week 29 (15.7. - 20.7. 2019) in Aarhus Denmark.
During this week we will discuss and unite our thoughts on the theme “roads of the sea” and evolve an artistic way to express our ideas and feelings. To give inspiration two professional artists and a marine biologist will held a lecture on the first day of the seminar. This follows three days of creative work on the theme, exchange between countries and art forms. On the last day the results of our creative process will be presented as a public performance and exhibition indoor and outdoor around the gallery “Exhibition Place Spanien 19c” in south harbour Aarhus.
For this purpose art container ANERSAAQ belonging to the art group TURA YA MOYA will be made available with its equipment and a technician. Here the young people can develop elements of sound and projection art for their performance on friday evening.
