Expanded Media / IEA Summer Workshops are week long intensive all day workshops, where participants experience a focused period of intellectual and artistic growth.  Participants can take a single one week workshop, two, three, or the full roster of four workshops.


 


Workshop topics and dates are:


Traditional / Experimental Print Media.  July 15 – 19 


Large Format Digital Print Media. July 22 – 26 


Sound Art. July 29 –  August 2 


Video Arts. August 5 – 9


 


The Expanded Media studio facilities are extensive and students will have 24 hour access, housing and meal plans are available. A materials fee covers materials used in the courses.


 


The workshops are hosted by the Division of Expanded Media, New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University and the Institute for Electronic Arts (IEA). Alfred University has one of the top ten graduate MFA programs in America and the Video Arts program at Alfred is the oldest program in the US. The IEA supports, state, national and international artist residencies, projects and programming.
