The London Art Biennale 2019 is now open for artist submissions. Held at the Chelsea Old Town Hall, previous editions of this event have seen 120 artists from 50 nations around the world brought together in this fantastic event that attracts thousands of visitors each year. Curated by Gagliardi Gallery in association with the Chianciano Art Museum, artists are selected purely on the basis of their talent. The first 50 accepted artists will also take part in a second group exhibition later in the year at the Gagliardi Gallery, which has been selling art on the King’s Road in the heart of London for 40 years. The London Art Biennale will run from 22nd May to 26th May 2019 and during this time artists will also enjoy a variety of events which have previously included cocktail parties, theatre trips and boat rides through London. Each year the London Art Biennale hosts a renowned Charity Auction which has sold works by artists such as Andy Warhol and the money raised has been presented to the selected charities by the Mayors of Kensington and Chelsea; Councillor Christopher Buckmaster, Councillor Mrs Maighread Condon-Simmonds and Councillor Elizabeth Rutherford. The Biennale is an excellent way for artists both experienced and emerging to showcase their work while also building a strong network within the art industry. Applications are now open.
