SouthWest Artists, Inc. is an active organization founded in 1945.   Two juried national shows are sponsored each year in May and October.  During each of the two shows, numerous events are scheduled in the gallery to bring optimum exposure to the artists work.  $1125 is awarded in the following categories; landscape, still life, figurative, animal, and abstract.  In addition, an award is given to an artist in our home state of Arkansas, and a Best in Show award of $500 to the overall winning piece. The awards judge is Bill Strain, a well known member of the arts community, an artist, gallery owner and organizer of well established art organization in the states of Oklahoma and Texas.
