Love Undefined, Every Damn Moment (2012)
This time, Toshevski opts for a nomadic group of entities, micro worlds in flight or in search for eachother. These diverse yet recurring monochrome modules (G. Deleuze) bear remnants of the Raft of the Medusa by Gericault or Delacroix’s Liberty Leading the People. The modules (ready-made and ready to go) constitute a strong minimalistic structure in motion, despite being themselves motionless. Each of these visual stories has its own composition, each has a burden to bear. Nomadic by nature, scattered across the occupied territory without defined borders, the modules imply the impossible decoding of their own motivating forces. This is Toshevski's second solo exhibition at MoCA, Skopje. A Dadaistic interpretation of Romaticism inspired by Prouhdon's theories. (excerpt from exhibition brochure, by M. Gacina) Technical details: palettes (EU standard); flags; fans; megaphone; found objects; plaster casts, taxidermy, 500 candy apples, steel cage, sound.
