International Bad Video Art Festival is a non commercial project of an artist couple Natalia Monakhova & Andrey Slaschilin. It first took place in Moscow, Russia, in 2017 and gathered more than 80 artists from 30 countries.
We propose to study extreme forms of video art. Videos shown at the Festival are at the intersection of bad art, bad painting and bad cinema (B-movies, cult, camp, trash). We believe that it is necessary to single out such video art works as an independent category of B-videos for profound studying. Please join us if you are interested in the issues of quality and boundaries of art.
