About

My work is focused on isolating and
reordering aspects of day-to-day
exerience. It examines the unruliness
and moments of vitality in nonhuman
things, and seeks to give expression
to this capacity of materials to provoke
and alter human actions. It points to a
kinship between people and things.
Sculpture, space and light capture and
articulate both my enquiries and
responses. The work becomes a touch
stone through which concepts such as
memory, perception and place can be
negotiated.

Each installation responds to a
particular interior or exterior space.
Frequently they are evocative
environments the draw out reflection
from the viewer. The tenuous
relationship between  remembering
and forgetting is presented  through
this context. Much of this work is
ephemeral, leaving no trace other
than memory and documentation.

Maurice Merleau-Ponty asserted that
it is the body that allows the world to
be for us, and this tenet is a the core
of my practice: an embodied
engagement as intermediary to
both my conceptual and
formulation process.
