Painter, art educator and muralist http://www.facebook.com/VisualArtistChitraRamanathan">Chitra Ramanathan exhibits and teaches in the United States. Originally from India, the artist received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Painting in 1993, and her M.B.A in Art Museum Administration in 1997 from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, U.S.A.

Her paintings express her ongoing creative journey through a unique body of intensely colorful and intricately textural mixed media paintings that have produced delight, inspiration and peace to numerous lovers and owners of her artwork. Her work is included in private as well as public collections including corporate organizations and educational institutions that have commissioned the artist to create permanent site-specific public art installations based on her distinct body of work.

An educator as well, the artist teaches classes in Acrylics and Mixed-media Painting at the http://www.verobeachmuseum.org/?method=ArtSchool_main">Art School of the Vero Beach Museum of Art in Florida, USA. In 2005, she received a special invitation to the http://www.royalacademy.org.uk/">Royal Academy of Arts for an image and lecture presentation of her body of work while conducting student tutorials at the http://www.royalacademy.org.uk/raschools/">RA Schools.
