Lello // Arnell - Echo Chamber

Beers.Lambert Contemporary presents Norwegian duo Lello // Arnell to London audiences with Echo Chamber, their artists' first solo exhibition in the UK, and the gallery’s inaugural exhibition in its new location off Old Street. Jørgen Craig Lello & Tobias Arnell’s sculptural work frequently incorporates elements of photography, collage and even painting through a modernist-styled, monochromatic aesthetic. Though fundamentally idea-based, they emphasize their materiality with a tongue-in-cheek, ‘pseudo-conceptualism’, questioning basic social structures and methods, to re-construct an interpretation that feels invalid or preposterous: historical documents, symbols, referents and events become entwined in a process that skews our perception of 'the big picture'.
