CODAworx, the online platform that is the hub of the commissioned art economy, has announced the launch of the 8th annual CODAawards: Collaboration of Design + Art. CODAworx established the CODAawards, in partnership with Interior Design magazine, to celebrate projects that demonstrate the most successful integration of commissioned art into an interior, architectural or public space.
The CODAawards are open to all individuals involved in the collaborative process of creating spaces. Awards will honor the artists, designers, architects, and other creative professionals whose collective imaginations create the public and private spaces that inspire us daily.
Each project entry must have been completed since January 2017 and feature at least one site-specific work of commissioned art. Award entries will be evaluated on:
● the successful integration of commissioned artwork into the project, and the importance of this integration into the overall design;
● the collaboration process between artist, designers, and others involved in the project.
The CODAaward winners are announced in the August issue of Interior Design magazine and the CODAawards website, exhibited at the Octagon Museum, and featured in an international public relations campaign in the fall. Registration is open through May 31st. Cost is $150 for a single entry, or, alternatively included in paid CODAworx membership. Visit www.codaworx.com/codaawards to learn more and to submit..
