cura intention is to establish a space for artists both living and working in the borough of Lewisham to exhibit artwork in a nontraditional art setting. Its purpose is to expand public engagement, reaching an audience that may not otherwise go to creative institutions. Found at Catford Mews cura is looking for wall based submissions of any medium and size, to be exhibited for a period of 6-7 weeks.  




Submission Requirements




cura submission requires a maximum of 5 images of completed works with both a Personal Statement (max 150 words) and Supporting Statement for each individual work (max 100 words). Images must be submitted by WeTransfer, with link to download attached to email submission (subject heading cura submission).    





Deadline for submission 09/02/2020 at 12pm  




Artist statement 150 words max.




Submission of up to 5 images of the same or different art works (please send wetransfer link in submission email).




Supporting statements for each art work 100 words max.

 Digital Intervention is presented by cura to present a new art platform for the underrepresented. Digital Intervention offers the opportunity for LBGTQ+ and Female artists from across the UK to reveal their practice to a spectating audience for 6-7 weeks. Found at Catford Mews, Digital Intervention shall utilise their cinema towards showcasing selected digital art works, ranging from 0:30 – 2:00m, supplementing movie trailers in the need to support artists in reaching a wider audience. 




Submission Requirements




Digital Intervention submission requires a maximum of 3 completed video works in mp3 with both a Personal and Supporting Statement. In one PDF doc, please include your Personal Statement (a maximum of 150 words) and Supporting Statement (a maximum of 100 words for each art work submitted). These files must be sent via WeTransfer Link and attached to your submission to the following email address: cura.submissions@gmail.com (subject heading Digital Intervention Submission)




Please do not forget to title the submitted videos in correlation to the Supporting Statement.
