We understand gesture and motion in the broadest sense of the word; works that capture movement, energy, activity, and develop an active relationship to the world. While the term gestural was first used to describe the painting style of certain abstract expressionists, Site:Brooklyn is looking for works that take this history not as an endpoint, but as a point of departure, considering the subject in pluralistic and open-ended manner. All mediums are welcome.
