The 6-Month Artist Retreat at the Historic Studios is designed for working professional artists and curators. We especially encourage tenured art faculty on sabbatical to apply. This opportunity gives professional artists a chance to live in the southwest, work in an artists community, and explore New Mexico. The fees to attend the 6-Month Artist Retreat are $1,500 per month, which includes a furnished two bedroom house with an office (which includes utilities, wifi, dishes, linens, and a shared laundry facility), a private 600 sq. foot studio with North light and access to Roswell’s vibrant art community with openings, art talks, and local community events. Artists are invited to have an open studio and give an art talk if they wish.
