THE „NARRENKASTL“ is an old window, glass cabinet, in a passage to a house in the middle of the main square of the little city Frohnleiten (25 km near Graz, in Austria)
The meaning of Narrenkastl - it´s an austrian expression for people who stare into mid-air,who are lost in their thoughts. It means dreaming - the art space opens a space for everyone - beeing lost in time and space. Come on, stare, dream while looking to art of contemporary young
artists
The art off-space is 140 x 120 x 48,5 cm, there is light and two plug sockets. The background is a black textile and is changeable.
Agreement of the exhibition:
- duration of the exhibition: 1 month, there is no exhibition opening - only if the artist manage it him/herself - curator will support
- CV, title of work, technic, intention of work, contact information, picture of the
artist, and work has to be send in time to narrenkastl@yahoo.com
- concept of the artwork has to be attached as well
- adverising/poster design will be done by Ulli Gollesch
- the work will be returned to the artist after the exhibition (by shipping (post office)
or the artist pick it up himself
- the glass of the space is equipped with safety glass and insured on home
insurance
- the risk of the exhibtion is borne from the artist himself
- the exhibitor can´t ask for claim for damages to the operator of the Narrenkastl
- interessed customers are relayed
- there is no comission - Ulli Gollesch is the curator, founder, organiser and adjuster between the observer and the artist
- the artist has to pay 25 Euro for all costs (energy of light, advertisment,
equipment, technic...)
-the exhibition/the application is the consent to this agreement
