Guild House AIR is Guild Hall’s Artist-in-Residence program. Established in 2016, the program provides early career artists with introductions to the creative community of the Hamptons, a stipend, and one month’s living space in Guild House, a 19th century Shingle style residence located adjacent to Guild Hall in the East Hampton Village District. Weekly Salon Dinners provide a platform for AIR participants, celebrated artists and community leaders to discuss topical subjects and the arts. Guild House is not a studio-based program, but rather provides the time and space for reflection and the development of supportive and collaborative relationships.

AIR 2019 will focus on the physical structure of Guild House as a place for temporary exhibition, installation, performance, and creative interventions. Residents are encouraged to work together or singly to stage environments, readings, or performances, and to further seek imaginative uses of the house in meaningful but impermanent ways that reflect on their work during the program.
