SouthWest Artists, Inc. is an active art organization founded in 1945.  Twice a year national shows are sponsored in May and October.  During these months numerous events are scheduled to bring optimum exposure of the artists work.  

This juried competition is open to two dimensional art, depicting American lifestyles, landscapes, environment and it's people.  Over $9,000 in cash awards is given in subject categories, a memorial award and Best in Show.  The show opens with a private awards ceremony, September 29.  Judge is Brad Cushman, curator and director of the UALR gallery and arts programs.
