Do you need time and/or a space to focus on a particular piece of work?

Are you looking for assistance on a project?

Would you like to spend time with a community of creative individuals?

Join TRACTOR @ D'CLINICstudios. An artist in residency programme for creative professionals from all the fields of : Visual Arts, Media Art, Music & Sound, Performing Arts, Design,  Architecture, Literature, Research,...

Within the framework of TRACTOR International Artist in Residency you’ll be exposed to a unique opportunity to explore and expand your artistic ambitions. “Test” your ideas within a larger frame than your own studio. This self directed creative programme offers you the luxury of time, space and freedom to perform new body of work, research innovative ideas or just experiment with different techniques or modes of production.

You can use the opportunity to interact with other artists, or use the time as a chance to re-turn to yourself and the nature – you choose.

Located in the west of Hungary, on the banks of the Zala River (Good, it might not look like a river now, but it was, a long time ago), close to the Slovenian and Austrian border and only 220 kilometres (137 miles) south-west of Budapest (by road), in the dashing city of Zalaegerszeg. Famous for its natural beauty, rich cultural heritage, and laid-back lifestyle, Zalaegerszeg offers an inspirational setting for intensive, introverted exploration, experimentation and/or creation within contemporary arts practices.

We offer accommodation (single room) & single or shared studio space in an artist house situated on the outskirts of Zalaegerszeg’s city center.

The offered working space is flexible, and generally adapted to each artist’s individual requirements and needs.

A strong network of different cultural institutions & workshops allows us to offer ( or provide access to ) our residency artists a wide range of equipment and/or materials for their work; depending on the specific needs and complexity of the planned project. including :

- foundry for small-scale sculptures (for bronze, aluminium,… casting)

- wood workshop (with belt sander 60Ø, band saw, lathe,…)

- metal workshop

- ceramics kiln & pottery wheel

- print making supplies & press (for lithography, etching, lino-cut, wood-cut,…)

- screen printing equipment

- recording studio

TRACTOR is open to both individuals and groups from all creative (as well as art-theoretical) spheres.
