Details:a-n is offering 14 fully funded places on the a-n Visual Arts Coaching Course with RD1st.

Launched in 2017, the course is part of a-n’s commitment to supporting artists’ livelihoods and is the only course of its kind for visual artists. Last year 16 artists completed the coaching course with Relational Dynamics 1st (RD1st), an organisation that specialises in training people from all professions and backgrounds to be coaches.

Coaching provides a supportive, challenging and dedicated framework for ‘extraordinary thinking’. Successful coaching releases insight, know-how and untapped creativity in an individual, and within groups. It can bring vital support to those seeking change, a shift in gear and renewed focus.

During this course you will undergo coaching which will enable you to access and process thoughts and ideas that will challenge perceived barriers and map out a route to change and development, while also training to become an accredited coach capable of offering others the same opportunity in future.

Following course completion all newly accredited coaches share their experience of coaching by delivering 8 free coaching sessions (usually 4 sessions for 2 people) to artists within their peer group or network within their first year as a coach.
