You are hereby invited to apply for participation in the 8.International WoodSculpture Symposium in Sønderborg, June 16th – June 22nd, 2019.
The symposium will take place in the surrounding of the beautiful Castle of Sønderborg, in the immediate proximity to the harbour and the inner city. During the symposium, you can expect an audience of about 1000 visitors each day. Therefore, it is very important for the symposium that the artists interacts with the audience.
The oak tree block, which you will be working on has the dimension: minimum 60x160 cm.
Sustainability is in focus at this year´s symposium. Therefore, you will need to work with electric chainsaws, which will be provided on the spot by the organisation.

In 2019, Uwe Wolff’s Foundation and the Municipality of Sønderborg will arrange the symposium together for the eight time. Throughout an outstanding collaboration, a well-known and well-reputed symposium have been established over time.
In 2019, 10 artists will be invited after having screened all applications.
