halka art project is a self-sustaining art initiative focusing in the production, discourse and presentation of contemporary art and culture. halka art project is located in the asian side of Istanbul in Kadikoy/Moda.

For the residency terms no less than four weeks we organize and co-curate exhibitions if the project requires one. As a creative centre halka art project is not only an art residency, a gallery, an atelier and a recreational space but a gathering place, a dialogue and a meeting platform. The residency period can vary from 3 weeks to 3 months during which each participant  is expected to present an outcome of their residency project to share with the local audience. The form of this presentation will be determined in accordance with the project developped. It can be an artist talk, a workshop, a lecture or an exhibition.
