Initiatives can apply for project funding starting October 1. The deadline for submitting applications is December 1, 2017.

The Perspektive funding program targets public and private institutions such as museums, art and architectural centers, art associations, galleries, architectural offices, and independent exhibition spaces working in the fields of contemporary art and architecture in Germany and France.

An independent jury of German and French experts, headed by Adeline Blanchard (director of the Bureau des arts plastiques), will select the winning projects. The announcement of projects to be supported by Perspektive in 2018 will take place in February.

'The quality of projects has grown significantly over time, a point emphasized by the jury this year in particular (...) Perspektive is a kind of observatory for innovative projects, a laboratory for ideas and research, and an important mechanism for identifying new talents. The program fosters networking between German and French practitioners in the fields of architecture and the visual arts. Germany and France are close neighbors, yet the art scenes of both countries differ considerably. This is valuable and enriching. We can learn a lot from each other!' (Adeline Blanchard, director of the Bureau des arts plastiques from the interview at www.talkingaboutart.de)

The jury is made up of the following individuals:

Eike Becker Architect, Eike Becker_Architekten and board member of the KW Institute for Contemporary Art, Berlin

Jacques Ferrier Architect and city planner, Paris

Arthur de Ganay Architect and art collector, Sammlung Arthur de Ganay, Berlin

Hélène Guenin Director Musée d'Art moderne et d'Art contemporain (MAMAC), Nice

Jean-Hubert Martin Curator and former director of the Musée national d'art moderne du Centre Pompidou, Paris

Lisa Marei Schmidt New director of the Brücke-Museum, Berlin

Within the framework of the call for projects, Perspektive supports collaborative encounters and initiatives promoting the exchange and dissemination of ideas and expertise: conferences, workshops, discussion sessions, conferences, seminars, think tanks, performances as well as idea and research labs.

The Perspektive call for projects takes place once a year in fall for projects to be realized the following year.
