Studio interns will learn day-to-day operations, classes and workshops, assisting artists and production glassblowing. Studio Internships are available each year for a period of three months each, which coincides with the Resident Artists program. Interns have the possibility of an extension upon review. The standard work week for interns is Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm, with one hour for lunch, which adds up to approximately 35 hours per week. Interns may be required to rotate and work some Saturdays during this time. Attendance and volunteering at STARworks events is not compulsory, but greatly encouraged and appreciated. Interns will help with daily operations, classes, workshops, assisting other interns, events, demonstrations and production glassblowing. Interns are expected to assist the studio coordinator with programs, help with maintenance of hot shop, including charging and clean up, present public demonstrations and/or assist with presentations by visiting and resident artists.
