CALL for Lithuanian and Indian artists! The dates of the project: January 4th to February 12th, 2018.


The translation “Sanskritik Mandala” from Hindi language means „The Circle of Culture“. This name symbolizes the aims of the project: to establish the dialogue between two different, geographically distant cultures, to bring together creators of contemporary art, to inspire new circulation and exchange of creative initiations, to represent contemporary Indian artist’s expressions and aspects of art. The project is organized and curated by Circle of Creation (Lithuania) and NGO Parivartan Assam (India).


 


Main objectives of the project:


·        To create and establish the platform for Indian and Lithuanian artists to work together and circulate or exchange new creative initiations and art projects.


·        To represent and expose contemporary Indian art to wider audience.


·        To promote and signify Indian culture, traditions, history and art in connection with present/ contemporary art happenings and scenario.


·        To collaborate with art critics and academic institutions to work on a relation and perspective correlation of Lithuania and India.


·        To represent Lithuanian history, culture, folk and art for its unique heritage and possible inspiration from both sides.


 


Residency charge: performing art program (January 4th to January 19th) - 350 euro;


visual art program (January 15 - February 12) - 700 euro.
