Free lodging and studio space thanks to a local grant from ArtsBuild! ARC focuses on professional development for the artist while giving back to the local community with artist-led workshops, studio visits, and lectures during the residency. Live and work in Chattanooga TN, the "Scenic City," for one month followed by a one-month exhibition. 

Artist Residency Chattanooga (ARC) functions as an arts incubator and offers professional development for artists from around the world, giving time and space to create new work in Chattanooga for one month. In exchange for having time to focus on new work and ideas, the artist is tasked with providing community outreach and education in the form of workshops, lectures, studio visits, and an exhibition.

We provide studio space, some tool/facility access, networking opportunities and local resources, in addition to a month long exhibition complete with opening reception events. We also provide press & documentation, as well as an opportunity for the artist’s story to be shared with the world after their stay in the form of a short documentary-style segment.

We have received a small local grant and will be able to pay for the artist's lodging expenses for the month; most other expenses will be the responsibility of the artist.
