The Terra Vivente Art Studio is located in southern Italy, not far from Naples, in the village of San Potito Sannitico. The residency program runs in  August only. Artists come for one month to work in the studio, explore the village and the region, and participate in the festivals and exhibitions. A maximum of four artists participate in the main residency, with accommodation in a two-bedroom apartment with an indoor  studio or at an agriturismo with indoor and outdoor workspaces. In addition to the public art and film festivals that take place in San Potito, there are many other festivals in nearby villages, notably in Guardia Sanframondi every August, there is a 6-day wine festival, Vinalia, a wonderful opportunity to participate in cultural events and engage with the community. In addition, the Riti Settennali, an important religious ceremony that takes place only once every seven years will be happening in August in Guardia Sanframondi. This is a region that is off the tourist route; participating artists have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the local culture. The residency program aims to foster interaction with the community, dialogue and collaboration, with an eye on environmental sustainability within artistic practices.
