The OPEN CALL ADM-PIRA is open two times at year, and is allowed to provide 2 artists for each period. The deadline for Spring 2017 are the following:


Spring 
Open: January 15th
Deadline: March 15th 
Publish of the results: April 2nd 
Period for the residence: Between April 15th til June 15th.


Requirements



Residency applicants must be between 21 to 35 years old, with a solid career in the fields of:
Visual Arts (Photography, Painting, Sculpture, Drawing, Video, Architecture, Installation and Conceptual Art)
Sound Art
New Media (Digital Art, Interactive Art, Installation, NetArt, and Media Art)
Curatorial and Research projects

Accommodation
The accommodation is in a private appartment for two artists. (Both of the artists are selected by ADM-PIRA program) It depends on the selection if the artist shares the space with another artist. Full-studio with Wi-Fi Access, 2 bedrooms, kitchen and services. It is located in Colonia Roma Norte (The artsy hood) on Mexico City.


Studio/ workspace
The studio/workspace is the biggest area in the appartment and the artists have the possibility to access to the equipment in Centro ADM our art center. This space counts with macs, photo studio, recording room, audio and video studio.


Fees and support



ADM-PIRA provides technical and personal support to develop the projects created by the artists in the residence period.
Promotion on our media channels, networking, studio visits and artists talks.
Creation and planning of an academic activity (workshop or lecture) in Centro ADM to obtain financial support for the development of your Project.
An exhibition or one night show at ADM Gallery. (Previous concern of the proposal with the Visual Art Committee from CentroADM.
All the services of the residence.

Resident Commitments



To Plan an academic activity in Centro ADM during the period of the residency.
Do not commit to other art spaces in Mexico City during the residency period. Proposals for collaboration between Centro ADM and other institutions are welcome for review by PIRA.
Mention the Centro ADM/PIRA program in all the products derived from the residency.
Live in the residency for at least four weeks of the entire residency period.
Take proper care of the studio apartment and all Centro ADM instalations and services.
Centro ADM will provide the artist with technical support required for his or her work, as well as studio visits with curators, critics and publishers to promote the production of the work. The artist is responsible for attending these visits.

Profile picture and CV
A statement of reasons for choosing to apply to the PIRA residency and an illustration of your objectives during your intended residence (maximum one A4 page)
Between 10-20 images or slides of your works with titles. Include techniques and explanation if necessary.
No more than 3 images of exhibition catalogues or published materials in magazines or websites.
Links to video works to be watched online (vimeo or youtube channels)

Application fee
Application fee for North American, European and Asian artists is 35.99 USD and for Latin American, Caribbean and African artists is 25.99 USD.


The following requirements must be fulfilled and attached by email for your application to be considered.


Restrictions:



Centro ADM-PIRA does not provide airfare, food, or health insurance.
Family members are permitted with prior notification.
The residency apartment should be used only for studio and living purposes.
The selected artists have a minimum of three weeks to confirm their commitment to attending the residency.
Knowledge of Spanish or English is necessary

Centro ADM/PIRA can provide the selected artists with confirmation letters and official invitations in order to assist with applications for external grants and financial support for the development of their projects.
