Art In the Orchard (AIO) is seeking entries for sculptures and installations for its fourth biennial outdoor exhibit in Easthampton, MA, one of the most dynamic arts communities in New England.

This biennial is expected to draw 25,000 plus participants from August 13th to November 26th and will feature a minimum of 25 works. Selected artists will receive a $500 honorarium.

Art In the Orchard 2017 is funded by a grant from the Massachusetts Cultural Council as well as private donations. The first edition of AIO was awarded the prestigious Gold Star Award for exemplary community arts project by the Massachusetts Cultural Council.

AiO '17 will commence with an opening party, host performances and events every weekend, and wrap up with a closing extravaganza. Artists will be invited to all events and parties.

The sculptures will be installed on the grounds of a thriving orchard with spectacular vistas of the Pioneer Valley. The site offers exhibitors wide open spaces as well as more intimate settings. Kinetic and site-specific work encouraged. Trees can be used to hang a mobile or as a background prop.

Easthampton is located in the Pioneer Valley of Western Massachusetts; close to the intersection of Interstate I-91 and the Mass Pike I-90, attracting visitorsfrom Boston, New York, the Berkshires, Vermont, New England and Canada.
