The Library of Gestures is the collection of remains made during multiple nomadic performances. These moments, created by several participants transforming objects through repetitive gestures, are potions prepared by the participants’ efforts. The moments are meant to heal distance (from each other, from purpose...). With the intention to mass produce uniqueness, the library grows session after session, creating a sense of togetherness.

After years developing the project with the collaboration of filmmakers and photographers, Soulution has become an encyclopedic collection of books telling the story of the Performances and their remains.

Performers often transform an object, leaving a trace of their uniqueness. We, the others, witness the shape of their generosity and are invited to approach the remains of their effort. SIII is the third gesture of the library.

Die Bibliothek der Gesten ist die Sammlung von Überbleibseln mehrerer nomadischer Performances. Diese Momente sind Zaubertränke, zubereitet durch die Mitwirkung der Teilnehmer, die Objekte in repetitiven Gesten transformieren. Die Momente sind dazu bestimmt, Distanz (zum Beispiel zwischen einander). Durch diese Massenproduktion von Einzigartigkeit wächst die Library of Gestures bei jeder Sitzung und schafft ein Gefühl der Zusammengehörigkeit.

Nach Jahren der Entwicklung des Projektes in Zusammenarbeit mit Filmemachern und Fotografen ist Soulution eine enzyklopädische Sammlung von Büchern geworden, die die Geschichte der Performances und deren Überbleibseln erzählt.

Die Teilnehmer transformieren oft ein Objekt und lassen so eine Spur ihrer Einzigartigkeit zurück. Wir, die anderen, erleben die Formwerdung ihrer Großzügigkeit mit und sind eingeladen, uns den Überbleibseln ihrer Anstrengungen Mitwirkung zu nähern. SIII ist die dritte Geste in der Bibliothek.
