Dia de los Muertos, the Mexican holiday celebrating the life of family and friends who have passed. Now celebrated throughout Mexico and around the world, creating a ritual of the living communicating with the dead, bringing rich color and history of the Mexican culture to this important event. We are seeking artwork in this theme that is traditional, contemporary, and experimental in nature that include imagery that is colorful and vibrant, of skulls, skeletons, alters, death, life, and other things related to the Dia de Los Muertos festivities. Artwork can be inspired by the holiday or be your own interpretation of the cycles of life and death. We look forward to seeing your creative submissions. 


Submission Guidelines

All artwork accepted, from established and emerging artists, 18 or older, including but not limited to: painting, drawing, design, printmaking, photography, sculpture, installation art, video, and new media. All exhibitions are curated by The New Bohemian Gallery directors.

* $15 submission fee payable through Paypal (Non Refundable)

* 1 - 4 images of artwork, jpg only, max size 5MB

* Label image files as first and last name, and title, ie: Firstname_Lastname_Title.jpg

Please note, that specialized installation materials are to be provided by the artist. Selected works are to be delivered ready to hang and framed, if applicable. All selected artists are responsible for initial and return shipping costs. All artwork must be for sale, and will be subject to a 25% commission. Submissions will not be accepted without payment.
