Works on paper is an open submission competition organised by https://stiwdiomaelor.wordpress.com" target="_blank">Stiwdio Maelor. Each year Stiwdio Maelor intends to hold a competition to enable an artist or writer to win the opportunity to complete a residency at Maelor in North Wales. http://www.suemara.net" target="_blank">Sue Mara (photography) and http://www.davidbegley.com" target="_blank">David Begley (artist film) won last year’s competition. Each year a different technique/medium is chosen. This year’s competition is for visual artists who work on or with paper. Any medium (painting, printing, drawing, etc.) is accepted, as long as it is on paper.


 


The Prize


A two week residency at Stiwdio Maelor with gift vouchers from local businesses.


The winner will be selected by Gini Wade - Printmaker and Illustrator who trained at Central St Martins, Aberystwyth University and the Tamarind Institute.


 


Entry Details


*  Media: Any media is accepted as long as it is on or made of paper.


* All work must be the original work of the exhibitor and must have been executed during the last two years


* Prize: A two week residency at Stiwdio Maelor in 2017 with vouchers from local businesses including Dylanwad Dolgellau and Andy and Adam’s Cafe Corris.


* An exhibition and online catalogue on Maelor’s website of all submitted entries. The winning work will be selected from JPEG’s submitted.

*  Entry Fee: £10 per work (artists can submit as many works as they like). Payment can be by cheque (made payable to Stiwdio Maelor) or via Paypal (using stiwdiomaelor@gmail.com). If you would like to pay into a UK or an Australian bank account please contact Stiwdio Maelor.

* Images (JPEGs) can be sent via email or a link via drop box with this application form.


*Work can be offered for sale via the website. A 30% commission will be charged on sold works.
