IMPERMANENCES is an art project that aims to talk about how everything in life is precarious and temporary. Things leave us, people leave us, and even memories leave us, eventually. Everything fades out and disappear in the flux of time. Even our own life will disappear from the world, and even our memory will fade away.
IMPERMANENCES consists in various tickets, printed on thermal paper, which will be attached in various street and places around the world. Thermal print, for its own nature, is very instable and subject to incidental heat, friction, light, and water - and it is guaranteed to last only for 50 days. It is, then, the perfect metaphor for testifying this concept of impermanence - to depict that everything fades away. 
The pictures will be connected to very personal stories and facts - submitted by people from all around the world. Stories and facts about people, things and memories that were once in their life and that are not anymore - and still something that everyone can relate to.
Personal topics because art, as a form of communication, needs first sincerity and truth - to create a bridge through people. IMPERMANENCES is a sort of a social network on backwards. Its contents aren’t supposed to last forever, but to disappear soon. Its public is a public of distracted passer-by, that will be able to relate only to the content of the single ticket without knowing anything about the author, and be able to get involved or not in the short narration only based on the universality of what those experiences mean.
Experiences are not limited to a common background - geographical, cultural, traditional and so on. That’s why those tickets will be spread - with the help of people willing to http://www.impermanences.eu/participate.php">take part in the project - in various cities all around the globe: because in the end of the day, it doesn’t matter who you are and where you live, our feelings are still the same.
IMPERMANENCES is a way to create a bridge through people, and to interrogate ourselves about what our memories, loves, affections, and life in general are about. It is also a catharsis, almost a religious act: to make memories public, to spread them around the world, and to let them fade away and disappear.

First step to take part in this project is to insert, in the form below, 3 pictures and 3 related stories about things or people that are not in your life anymore. Try to keep the story short and informative. Use only pictures that you can use - you are responsible for that. A ticket will be created from your story/picture and sent to some other participant to be displayed somewhere else in the world
You will be requested also to insert your name and address. This is needed because we have to send you by post some tickets created by other users that you will be requested to stick in your city (in a public place, such on a wall, streetlamp or whatever). This should realistically happen around the beginning of September)

Once you will receive the printed tickets, you will have to stick them somewhere, take a photo of them and send the picture and GPS coordinates to a whatsapp number - you will receive more detailed informations in your letter.
