The British Council Ukraine is delighted to launch its new artistic residence programme, connecting artists from Ukraine and the UK and supporting their professional development and internationalisation. The programme is also designed to give artists the time to research, reflect and explore the UK/Ukraine’s vast artistic traditions.


Call for applications: UK artists


We work with the http://www.biennial.com/">Liverpool Biennial in the UK (with whom we already ran residencies for Ukraine-based artists during http://www.biennial.com/news/ukraine-liverpool-artist-residency-participants-announced">March-April 2016), and in Ukraine we work with the most innovative and experimental visual arts’ organisations across the country.


For this second phase of our programme, we’re looking for 6 talented UK artists to spend up to 1 month in one of the following residence opportunities:

Applications are open from 25 May-27 June 2016, and we will be announcing our selection on 4 July 2016. The residences will start on 10 August (Kharkiv) and on 1 September (the rest, as per above), so applicants need to make sure they can take up to 3-4 weeks off during that time.
