Duration: 3 weeks in Fall 2016, extendable
Eligibility: Emerging or mid-career artists, minimum age 25

This residency includes 3 weeks master instruction (classes of 9 hours per week) in diverse local techniques from Oaxaca that vary depending on the supporting fiber; options are wool, silk and paper. Residents learn preparations and traditional recipes to make and use natural dyes, mordents, and fixatives. Pigments included are cochineal, indigo and pericón.

RESIDENCY INCLUSIONS
Staff support and research guidance, accommodation, meals and open access to kitchen, housekeeping, studio space with basic materials, supplies and tools for the course.
